puja
Puja is a sacred ceremony often done at sunrise. This version of puja is the version I have learned from my teacher and honors the Goddess. It is a wonderful way to start your day, acknowledging the sacred in all, right at the beginning of the day.
meditations
OM VAKRA TUNDAYA HUM
A mantra to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. Ganesha removes obstacles not with force, but through wisdom and creativity. In fact, Ganesha sees nothing really as an obstacle, but rather part of the path, an opportunity. Because of this, he is always joyful - nothing is really a problem for Ganesha! Use this mantra to take on that energy of Ganesha within yourself. This would be a wonderful mantra to do at the beginning of something new. It would be especially powerful to take on as a sadhana, a daily practice. Practice it daily for 21, 40, or 54 days to really shift the energy.
Breath Meditation
This is a short, 12 minute meditation with the breath as the anchor or focal point. Guided meditation is done by Julie, occasional subtle snoring is courtesy of my yoga and meditation companion, Wally the dog.
pranayama and kriya practices
Calming and Grounding Set
Use this pranayama and kriya practice to calm and ground whenever you need it! Autumn is a wonderful time to do this practice, after the busyness of summer subsides and nature asks us to slow down and turn inward. This is an entirely seated practice which can be done on the floor, a cushion, or a chair.
Chakra Balancing Meditation
Use this practice to balance the chakras using breath, hand mudras and focused awareness.
